Hello family, friends, and all those you just decided to stop by this blog.  What is Christmas to you?  Better yet, what is Christmas?  Why does Christmas land on the 25th of December?  Where did the word Christmas come from (the etymology)?

Some people will live their entire life and not answer those questions.  Is it important for those questions to be answered?  I guess it depends....  It should be important, but what importance is it if we know it, but don't live it in our daily lifes.  Something we all struggle with from time to time.

The angel said to them,
“Do not be afraid;
for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy
that will be for all the people.
For today in the city of David
a savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord.
And this will be a sign for you:
you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes
and lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel,
praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
